Oliver Wants to Come Visit You!

Is your school a MUST-SEE school? Read Oliver's blog and learn how Oliver can come for a FREE school visit!

I am the author of books for children, including the middle grade verse novel HUGGING THE ROCK (Tricycle Press, September 2006), OLIVER’S MUST-DO LIST (Boyd’s Mills Press, October 2005), CAN I PRAY WITH MY EYES OPEN? (Hyperion, 1999), the easy reader SMALLS SAILS TO FREEDOM (Lerner/Millbrook, 2006), and the forthcoming easy reader ENRIQUE ESPARZA, BOY AT THE ALAMO (Lerner/Millbrook).

I have served on the faculty for the Highlights Foundation Chautauqua Conference and was the Writer-in-Residence for San Jose Community School working with at-risk students. I'm also a former newspaper columnist for the New Orleans Times Picayune and past instructor for the Institute of Children’s Literature.

I'm represented by Jodi Reamer, Writers House. Friends welcome. I'm a gabby sort.

Subscribe to my free newsletter Susan Writes and keep up with my latest news.

I'm on MySpace too!

Thanks to Emperor Penguin Empire for the penguin mood theme.

Great BIG thanks to Carrie for the new design for my blog!
