31 Blogs You Might Not Know - Sarah

This one is for the writers out there. Sarah works in New York as a publishing assistant. I love looking at things from her side of the desk. A couple of my favorite posts are Unlikable Villains (in which she reminds us of the importance of keeping our villians villainous and The Secret Lives of Titles because I love anything that talks about coming up with the right title. If you're a short story lover you're in for an extra treat because every so often she publishes short that readers have sent in on her blog.

Give her a wave from me when you peek in her window.

Thanks for the heads-up to Sarah's blog. You are right: I have never heard of it. I just read a few entries and I'm -in-.

How did you find her, Susan?

Do you know where she works? (None of my business and you don't have to tell me the answer. Does she reveal it in her blog?)

The RIGHT TITLE entry had my name all over it. Love that stuff. {}

I'll read before I stick my neck out and wave. But I will wave.

Thanks again, Susan. Hope you're well.

Uhm, Melodye, I'm supposed to keep track of them? Uh oh. :)

My big plan (back in November) was to get all these done ahead of time so I could have an easy time of it in December. hahahaha...come on, laugh with me now..hahahaha

So now I am scrambling and worrying that my luck will run out by the end of the month.

I can't remember where I found her, Pamela. I just poke around on people's sites and follow likely links until I find someone. I don't know her last name or where she works but she intrigued me.

Do wave!

Who am I?I was born on the Cancer/Leo cusp and share a birthday with Ernest Hemingway and Robin Williams. The similarities don't stop there as I can go from depressed to ecstatic without ever passing go. I feel scared most of the time though my friends call me brave and I find it easier to believe in my friends than to believe in my own abilities to make what I want out of my life.

Who am I? A wife, a mother, a daughter, and even, gulp, a grandmother.

Who am I? A writer who never gets tired of playing with words, even when the words are hard to find. A writer of books for children and articles for grown-ups and many things in-between.

Who am I? A motivational speaker, writing instructor, workshop leader and full-time follower of dreams.

Who am I? Read and find out.

"Successful writers are not the ones who write the best sentences. They are the ones who keep writing. They are the ones who discover what is most important and strangest and most pleasurable in themselves, and keep believing in the value of their work, despite the difficulties."
--Bonnie Friedman

"As writers, we must be willing to feel our sadness, our anger, our terror, so we can reach in and find our sweet vulnerability that is just sitting there waiting for us to come back home."
--Nancy Slonim Aronie

"Writers write about what obsesses them. You draw those cards. I lost my mother when I was 14. My daughter died at the age of 6. I lost my faith as a Catholic. When I'm writing, the darkness is always there. I go where the pain is."
--Anne Rice
